I was a childhood motocross champion and this is my story. RAGAMUFFIN is the culmination of experiences I had as a queer girl at the motocross track, racing high-octane dirt bikes and helping my father run his trackside shop.

At its heart, Ragamuffin is a story about what it’s like to grow up as a girl in a male-dominated world and who are the women we mold ourselves after? The sport of motocross defies death and danger lurks around every corner, the same way it does when you’re 12, transitioning into adulthood and leaving the safety of what it means to be a “child” behind.

RAGAMUFFIN world premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. The short is currently on its festival run, having played in more than seven countries and seven states. Most notably the American Pavillion’s Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at Cannes Film Festival.

RAGAMUFFIN won BEST NARRATIVE SHORT at San Luis Obispo’s 2025 Film Festival.
